Welcome to the third issue of Raretoshi Roundup! We’ve missed you!
Since our initial launch, we’ve been hard at work taking notes and implementing many of your suggestions to improve user experience.
Now, at last, we’re proud to officially announce the first major update to Raretoshi, courtesy of Adam Soltys and the dev team. Among the additions was the ability to cancel bids, gift NFTs, have multiple royalty recipients, along with a slew of performance upgrades and bug fixes.
Going forward, you can expect rolling bi-monthly updates (every two weeks or so) with many more features in the pipeline. To stay up to date on those, follow the official Raretoshi Twitter and join the new Discord (more on that below).
Here’s a full breakdown:
Added:
- Cancel bids
- Gift NFTs to other users directly without listing
- Infinite page scrolling for easier market navigation
- Ability to add multiple royalties recipients with varying percentages
- User guide now hosted on website
- Email notifications for onboarding, bidding, auctions, etc.
- Preview links now display static images of artwork
Fixed:

Changed:
- Updated queries to server-side rendering to improve site performance

Raretoshi Socials
Telegram can be a bit cumbersome at times, so we launched a Discord at the request of many of you. The new Discord server has specific channels for announcements, artist self-promotion, platform support, reporting bugs, voice chatting, and much more.
You’ll first be prompted to complete a captcha, so make sure your DMs are open, and once verified, you’ll gain full access. But don’t worry if you prefer to stick with Telegram; the OG Raretoshi chat won’t be going anywhere, and it’ll continue to be updated.
In addition to Discord and Telegram, we now have Instagram and even Facebook for the 60 and over crowd.
New Onboards
As is Raretoshi Roundup tradition, we want to take the opportunity to share some of the new artists that have recently joined the platform. To support them, follow their socials and be sure to check out each artists’ Raretoshi portfolio by clicking on the featured image.

Under the Radar
It can be challenging to keep up with all the new art minted daily. Here are several art pieces that might have flown under your radar.
Proof of Paints’ ‘Sovereign Islands’ series is a multi-element woven tale of a city-state island where Bitcoin is the life source. On purchase, patrons receive a 1:1 NFT and an exclusive framed giclée print authenticated by PoP himself.
This set of 1:1 NFTs by Athanasi Glekas comprises 21 unique pieces detailing an epic boxing match between Max ‘Bitcoin Bull’ Keiser and Peter ‘Golden Boy’ Schiff. We love it!
Get Involved in Bitcoin Art
Raretoshi is unique in the NFT space due to its curation of Bitcoin-inspired art and its focus on digital patronage.
Whether you are a painter, graphic designer, or certified memeologist, we encourage you to join the new Discord to see for yourself the organic community that has sprung up around the simple idea of Bitcoin art. Artists on Raretoshi are open to collaboration and more than willing to help newcomers navigate the fast-evolving NFT space.
In 2022, we look forward to working closely with the Bitcoin art community and rolling out more updates and unique features. Expect great things ahead!
