Aida Pippo and Germán Katz of PippoKatz, have issued a new collection of cryptic visual puzzles on Raretoshi. The digital drop is part of an ongoing series titled ‘Essential Elements,’ where they use a mix of hand-drawn techniques and 3D animation tools. The series makes subtle references to various elements of cryptography, such as the Merkle tree, the blockchain, and Bitcoin as a digital store of value.

The making of ‘Essential Elements’

“Our goal is to amplify the revolutionary social and cultural message of Bitcoin and its game-changing technology,” explained PippoKatz.

When describing ‘Essential Elements,’ PippoKatz said it was like a “visual metaverse for the global individual” and meant to highlight Bitcoin’s disruptive character.

“Just as the nation-state revolutionized society hundreds of years ago to form independent territories, Bitcoin is now doing the same for the global individual.”

The first round of mints will consist of six digital collectibles: an obscure piece titled ‘The Birth of New Gold’ and a Bitcoin tribute dubbed ‘That’s Bitcoin.’ Each animated composition will have a total of three variations. All six NFTs are one-to-one editions and overlaid with original instrumentals by music artist FAK.

Interested parties will have more than a week to explore each collectible and place their final bids. Follow the Raretoshi Twitter account for updates on the auction. PippoKatz is planning more issues under the same series, so also follow their Raretoshi artist homepage for future drops.

A reminder that the Raretoshi wallet supports depositing funds using the Lightning Network, mainchain Bitcoin, or native Liquid Bitcoin (L-BTC), so you can deposit and join the action as quickly as possible. See our tutorial video to learn more about how to fund your account.
